It’s Primary Season! And Election Pizza isn’t the only thing to get excited about 🙄 … Facebook has rolled out an awesome new way to engage your audience in real time during Elections Coverage (or just about anything else). This white-list-only feature is available to select media properties and allows the Facebook Page to publish a Poll as a post. You can ask your Facebook audience any question and allow them to respond with any one of up to 10 answer choices.

Here’s an example from a TV station we work with at Social News Desk. This weather poll could easily be an Election or Candidate related question instead:

It takes less than 30 seconds to publish this to Facebook and is just as simple to put on TV using Social News Desk’s SND On Air tool. SND Dashboard now pulls in all the Polls you publish to Facebook, and allows you to quickly style them to put in your broadcast. Upload your own background, change the font and you’re ready to go live with real time Facebook Poll results! It takes less than 2 minutes to set up.

All you need is a computer hooked up to the switcher in your control room – it’s that simple. Want to learn more? Want to see it in action? Contact us anytime!
