The SND Analytics Leaderboard widgets for both Facebook and Twitter are great for encouraging competition in your newsroom. They’re meant to be displayed on a large monitor for the whole newsroom to see, so everyone knows who’s posting the most every day. Dare I say it’s fun? I do, it’s fun.

But if you’re like a lot of our clients, there’s one catch… Typically newsrooms have one or a few people who do the lion’s share of the social media posting. It might be their job to do that full time. So of course your media managers, internet directors and content publishers are often going to be in the top slot of your Leaderboard.

Now, based on your input, we’ve created a way to pick and choose who is going to be in your Leaderboards! During setup for your widget, you’ll now see a list of publishers in your newsroom. Choose who you don’t want to be in the widget, and you’re good to go.

If you want to get really fancy, you could set up multiple Leaderboards for different categories of publishers. Maybe you want to have one that just has reporters in it, or maybe there’s one just for your sports team? It’s totally customizable and it’s up to you.

This feature enhancement was developed as a direct result of our clients’ feedback. Keep it coming! Questions and suggestions are always welcome at support@socialnewsdesk.com.
