How I use SND:
My name is Kathleen Cox, and I’m the Communications and Media Relations Manager for the City of Sweetwater. Sweetwater is a small West Texas town. I like to say we’re kind of behind the times, but we’re trying to play catch up a little bit. I originally was juggling going to every single social media account and organically posting everything, and it was a pain in the neck, to say the least.
So having everything—all of our social media platforms for all of our agencies, as well as all of our platforms—in one place has really helped. And then it also helps me as a communications manager. I can oversee everything as well as give other people access and oversee what they’re doing as well, so they’re not just randomly posting some stuff. It just gets out there, and we can oversee what everyone’s doing and make sure that everything looks good.
Everybody knows what’s being posted, so we know, “Okay, we need to remove this, and this is more time-pressing. We need to get this out sooner.” It helps our scheduling a lot more. If you’re looking for something that is going to save your sanity and be efficient, I think this is definitely the product that you’re looking for.
It is a lifesaver for small shops, but I think it would also help big shops as well, especially with all the oversight and different features and accounts that you can have.
