By far, the number one request from Social News Desk clients has been: “When can we publish to Instagram?!” And after much patience on our part (aka lobbying, begging, pleading), Facebook and Instagram have opened up a Content Publishing API for Facebook Marketing Partners such as Social News Desk. This API will allow Instagram Business Profiles to create an image post and publish it. Social News Desk will incorporate additional features such as scheduling and reposting.
How Does It Work?
In addition to posting and scheduling image posts with a caption, the new Instagram API will also allow the SND Dashboard to display your IG Profile’s Home Stream and Profile Mentions. We’re also researching ways to include some Instagram analytics in the future.
