YouTube has rolled out a new "For You" section that recommends content to visitors based on watch history.
YouTube Introduces TikTok-Style 'For You' Feed on Pages

YouTube is getting more personalized – all thanks to TikTok.

Visitors may now see a new ‘For You’ section: a place that recommends content from the channel based on vistors’ watch history.

‘For You’ has been in testing for months, and now, brands can finally enjoy more control over their channels (if they so choose). The feature can be turned on or off in the customization menu under channel settings.

You can also decide if you want only shorts, livestreams, or full videos in this area — or all of those or a mix of two. There are also options to include all content or just recent material.

‘For You’ is the latest TikTok-like feature YouTube has slid into its platform (Shorts and vertical video editing, to name a couple). It’ll be interesting to see the platform’s next move as they look for ways to offer similar features and ideas as TikTok. We’re keeping an eye out!

Speaking of Shorts and editing…did you know you can upload Shorts and edit videos right inside SND? Customization is at your fingertips! If you’d rather chat about it, or have questions, you know where to find us: support@socialnewsdesk.com.
